RFID Based Toll Automation
Toll automation is very fast growing RFID solution for both developed and developing countries. As technology evolves day by day, humanity is binding with word “Automatic”. Nationality also plans to make routine developments in transportation field by adapting fast growing hi-techs. It automates the process of releasing the vehicles within tollgates by capturing UID’s of each vehicle and by authenticates the vehicle within toll premises.
AOPL brings significant way of handling “Toll Automation with RFID Technology”. It starts with hardware components like RFID Tags, RFID UHF Fixed reader, RFID UHF Desktop reader and controller with Bombarrier. To make user to have plug and play applications provides Reports, mapping of vehicle, Real-time update on server, sending SMS for amount charged on passing through each tollgate etc.
To make whole process into efficient way, AOPL divides the automation process like Tagging for vehicle, capture vehicle’s UID, Authenticate vehicle with database, reduce required fund from concerned person account, and open the boom barrier. The role of application is much required in place of tagging, detecting fund from account, and triggering the controller to open gate.
Case 1: Here vehicles are tagged with RFID tags in presence of RFID UHF desktop reader and even amount can also be recharged for passing tollgates throughout journey.
Case 2: Tagged vehicles as they enter nearby toll area; the RFID fixed reader captures the RFID tags and sends info to PC (Personal computer) were the details about vehicles is displayed.
Case 3: Now if vehicle as enough off funds, it can pass through gate or it must be recharged on-spot, application send signal to controller through which boom barrier opens/closes.
The Application provides number of vehicles which crossed the tollgate, reports on vehicle with in/out time from toll gate, sending message about amount charged/balance in account. RFID devices are certified by RHos, FCC, and ETSI etc. So they can implement on varying temperatures conditions.
